Michal Faber
Co-founder / CEO at Vendo
About
I'm Michal Faber, the Co-founder and CEO of Vendo, the company behind Spree Commerce. My career has been a journey through the evolution of digital business—from running e-business news sites and GDPR consulting to managing large-scale marketplaces. Currently, I'm focused on the intersection of open-source eCommerce and the AI economy. I'm passionate about 'Agentic Commerce' and building the infrastructure that allows AI agents to handle transactions securely. I advocate for data sovereignty, believing that regulated industries shouldn't rely on 'black box' SaaS. I can offer a language-agnostic commerce layer that’s ready for the AI-driven future, and I’m looking to connect with developers and builders who are ready to move beyond 'vibe coding' into robust, high-performance marketplace infrastructure.

Opinions
- Building production apps on black box AI platforms without source code control is negligent.
- Enterprise software is shifting from human-centric interfaces to agent-centric infrastructure.
- Commerce is a complex infrastructure layer, not just a feature.
- Regulated industries must use self-hosted open source for data sovereignty.
